About Us

Set up as a Public Benefit Foundation in Belgium in 2006, the Fondation Marie et Alain Philippson has been operational since January 2007.

Our work focuses on stimulating sustainable human development in Central and West Africa. Specifically, we support African organizations, but not just any - we are interested in those run by social entrepreneurs, whose goals are to make a real social impact and who are willing to work independently.

As a committed partner, we subsidise, advise and accompany them so they can grow their organizations, totally professionally. In this way, they can fulfil their mission more efficiently and they can see real improvements in the lives of the women and young people of their communities.

The future strategy of the foundation is being considered.
